We use a variety of virtual reality technologies to make it feel as if you are physically walking and interacting in a different world. Your group will be given your own large room to explore while you are wearing a virtual reality headset and haptic feedback suit. You wil have a virtual body that exactly corresponds with your real body's position and movements so others can see you where you really are and you can see others. All together, this creates an experience that immerses you in a virtual universe better than anything else on the planet!
Free-Roam VR creates a breath-taking level of immersion by allowing you to freely move, explore, and interact in a virtual world. Normal VR forces players to stay in one place and only interacte and move with your controllers which creates a sub-par level of immersion. Normal VR also only lets you play by yourself or with friends online. However, in Free-Roam VR, you and your friends are all physically in the same world together. Our game rooms are specifically designed to correspond with our VR experiences so your physicial world and virtual world will always be in sync. But in the virtual world, we use lots of tricks and visual illusions to make it feel as if the virutal world is far larger that the physical space that you are in. That is the power of virtual reality! It's something you have to experience yourself to fully understand!
Jacked-In VR's games are meant to be experienced as a group. We currently support groups between 2 - 8 players at a time, but we will soon be supporting groups up to 12 players. If you have a larger group, you can either book multiple rooms (we have 3 separate rooms, so you can book up to 3 groups of 4 players at one time) or you can inquire about private events here.
We advise that you dress in light, comfortable clothes. This is an active experience, so wear something that won't restrict your movement or get too hot!
We advise that you wear contact lenses if possible when doing a VR experience. However, if you aren't able to wear contact lenses, our VR headsets are able to sit comfortably over your glasses.
Each game has a different play time which you can see on our booking page here. In addition to the play time, you will also have 15 minutes in the beginning to get geared up and for a tutorial on how to play the game. At the end of your experience, we will also share some awesome videos and pictures of your group that you can take home.

Absolutely! Everyone from 6-year-olds kids to 75-year-old grandmas have played and had a blast at Jacked-In VR! You don’t need any experience to jump in and start having fun!
Absolutely not! Even if you have never played a video game in your life, you can play at Jacked-In VR. Our games are extremely intuitive and feel like real life, so anyone will be able to jump in and start having fun!

Yes, you are welcome and encouraged to take as many pictures and videos as you want. Your dedicated Game Guide will also be taking pictures and videos of your group and will share those with you for free at the end of your session!
We use Vive Focus 3 and Pico 4 headsets and TactSuit x40 haptic suits.
Yes, spectators are allowed to watch for free! You can take photos and videos as well! We will have chairs where you can sit and watch and TV’s where you can see what the players are seeing.
There’s actually a reason for our theme! The idea of being able to enter into a virtual world began to become entrenched in popular culture in early 1980’s science fiction with movies like “Tron” and books like “Neuromancer” by William Gibson. That book is where the term “the Matrix” was originally coined! Soon after, the concept gained steam and became solidified in science fiction with books and movies like “Ready, Player One” (which also featured a retro 1980’s theme!) Now, huge companies like Meta are trying to make the books a reality by creating the metaverse. However, we love to hearken back to the original stories and pay homage by featuring everything that made the 80’s awesome! Sythesizers, neon, and arcade classics! Blending the past and the future is what we are all about!
Originally coined in the 1984 novel, “Neuromancer,” the term “Jack-in” refers to someone entering into the virtual world by connecting their brains to a computer with an electrical jack. The term is now common in cyberpunk and science fiction, being used in movies like “The Matrix” when Neo needs to “Jack-In” to enter the world of the Matrix. The term is also used in more modern media such as the popular video game “Cyberpunk 2077.” We promise there are no wires going into your brain at our store, though! But you definitely will feel that you have truly entered a different world!
No, you won't. Jacked-In VR's technology is designed specifically to prevent motion sickness. People can get motion sick when playing VR at home because their physical body feels disconnected from what they see in their headset. Jacked-In VR prevents this kind of motion sickness by allowing you to freely move through your environment as if you were actually in it.
We don’t have an age limit, but we typically recommend 6 years old as the youngest. However, we have had younger play in some cases. We also don’t have an upper age limit, but some older guests may want to be cautious. While everything is totally safe, some older guests with balance issues may find themselves more likely to trip and fall. All guests are required to sign a libaility waiver before playing, so any injuries will be your responsibility.
All guests will be required to sign waivers before the experience begins. For guests that are younger than 18-years-old, an adult will need to sign a waiver for them.
Everyone will be visible to you at all times. We use motion-tracking technology to make everyone's virtual character match the movements of their real body. So if your friend is standing right next to you, you will see them right next to you in VR. They may appear differently than you're used to though! Expect to see them as an astronaut, a soldier, a cyber-cowboy, or many other things. There will also be clear barriers that prevent you from exiting the game area, so you will be totally safe from bumping into anything.
We take cleanliness and sanitization very seriously! We clean every headset and piece of equipment after every use. We use sanitizing products that are qualified for use against COVID-19 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We stake our reputation on being the most clean and sanitary amusement center that you will ever visit!
Yes, you are able to play in a wheelchair! Some of our games may have certain sections that are little more challenging for a wheelchair, but give us a call ahead of time and we can help you pick a game that will be perfect for you!

Yes, you are able to reschedule or cancel your reservation as long as you give us a 24-hour notice before your reservation starts.
We ask that you please arrive 5 minutes before your start time. You will need to fill out your liability waivers before your session starts which typically takes about 5 minutes. If you arrive late, it may cut into your play time if there is another reservation after your session.To ensure our other guest booking are not impacted, any tardiness beyond 5 minutes will result in a cancellation of your booking, a $50 fee and the rest of your initial payment will be issued to a voucher that can be applied to a future booking.No-shows will incur automatic cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of payment
You can receive a full refund for any cancellation that is made 24 hours prior to your reservation for a normal reservation or 48 hours prior to your reservation for party package reservations. Cancellations after that or no-shows will not receive a refund. Reservations are in high demand, so please make sure that you are able to make your scheduled time!

Yes! We offer a 10% military discount. You can book online and get a 10% refund by showing us your military ID during your scheduled session. *Note* Our military discount only applies to regular bookings and does not apply to birthday party packages or team-building events. Our margins are much lower on our event packages so we are unfortunately not able to offer the discount on those.
While you are not required to make a reservation, it is highly recommended. We have a limited number of spots and if you come during a busy time when our spots are already filled, we will not be able to fit you in. As a small business, we will also sometimes have to leave the store during business hours for some time if we do not have any customers, so it is always best to book online or call ahead so we can make sure we have your spot ready when you show up!
Unfortunately, the minimum number of players is 2 right now. We would like to add support for solo players at some point in the future. If you're interested in that, please let us know by contacting us here!

We do not currently have a regridgerator or freezer, so you will need to bring your own cooler for drinks and ice cream. We will be adding refridgerators and freezers in 2024!
